Hello all. I've never posted before, but FOTH I just had to let you know that I think this story is wonderful. You my dear sir are an amazing story teller and you are just as good as the top writers of this time. Your story grabs the readers, drags them in and then doesn't want to let them go. At least it did me. It teaches and makes a person think what would I do. I myself do not think Einar is dead. I don't think he would have pulled his cord until he knew Liz had safely pulled hers. Neither of them are on the ground yet. FOTH left a major cliff hanger.

After reading the ending again I do not see him dying. I see him looking up and watching Liz above him. I think they are all alright and ready to start again. Now we just need him to get back to fighting weight so they can all begin to really live in those hills.

In the last 'chapter', the trees and ground "rushed" towards Einar... while Liz floated slowly. The wording is clear that Einar did not open or could not open his chute and he always thought that death was real freedom. I would love to be wrong but the way the last chapter is worded, Chris will have to do some major revision to make Einar "live" through that. If Einar is alive, then that last chapter sure did not show it. Naw, he didn't die...he probably did a "low opening". Liz being a new jumper, probably opened her chute right away. Einar was probably used to doing HALO (High altitude, low opening) jumps from his years in various military and quasi-military operations. Besides, Einar's too tough to pack it in. Chris would NOT do that to us, would he???

FOTH, I don't typically say much. I have lurked through the Einar SAGA for a couple of years, reading on another site, and was very pleasantly surprised to find this via a link. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR CONSIDERABLE TALENT! You, sir , are an extraordinary author! I urge you to consider getting a publisher involved. My hat is off to you, bald head shining in the hot Arizona sun!

Thank you all so much for your kind words about the story, for reading and for the discussion we've been carrying on, here. This afternoon I posted the first chapter of book four, so I guess the story goes on. It may be found here: freedomofthehills.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ongoingstory&action=display&thread=99&page=1Please keep in mind that if you enjoy the story, the best thing you can do to encourage me to keep writing is to participate in the discussion with comments, suggestions and even (maybe especially!) criticism. Thanks! ~Chris Hello all. I've never posted before, but FOTH I just had to let you know that I think this story is wonderful. Don't be a stranger--come on in and join the discussion as the next story unfolds, if you'd like to. In the last 'chapter', the trees and ground "rushed" towards Einar... while Liz floated slowly. But yeah, I guess Einar is too tough to let a little splat affect him too badly, if he can help it! Thanks for reading, Icefire. And for your faith in Einar's landing skills... well you know Chris, that every time I comment, I mostly get a firestorm slung at me. Thus I usually refrain. But know that I follow along and enjoy your writing.

Felicia, I don't have a Facebook account either, and that site never used to require one, for downloads! Let me take a look and see if there's some way around that, and in the meantime, an email is on its way.
