I would like to purchase some Oregon Grape Plants, I will need them to be shipped. Would this plant do the trick ? I am most concerned with the use of the roots for "berberine solution", however getting the berries and making jelly is an added benefit. www.forestfarm.com/product.php?id=2906

Yes, those plants ( mahonia aquifolium) have roots which contain berberine, and if they will grow in your area, would be a fine choice. The berries will also be good for jam and jelly. The Oregon grape that grows wild in my area is Mahonia repens, or creeping Oregon grape, and it looks like this place sells plants: www.plantoregon.com/product.asp?specific=2244I would be glad to dig up some plants and send them to you if you'd like, but would need to wait until spring when the ground thaws a bit.

Chris,
Spring is about here, do you think that you could dig me up 3 or 4 Oregon Grape plants and send them to me ?
If so I will send you a PM with my address.
Thanks

Yes, I would be glad to send you some plants, here in the next week or two. Now is the right time, before they start getting their new growth.
